Preeti did her initial architecture study in Chandigarh where she developed interest in researching about making buildings more climatologically and contextually responsive. Her undergraduate thesis project, revitalization of the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, was an experiment in the same field and was much appreciated by the jury. Thereafter, a two-year work experience in New Delhi strengthened her belief in ecological design of the built-environment and inspired her to pursue higher studies in a specialized programme in UK. She returned to India after completing her postgraduate studies and joined Neeraj Manchanda Architects, New Delhi as senior architect and also coordinator of the national level Green School Conference at Mussoorie held in April 2010. After her successful tenure at NMA she moved on to become a free lancer and finally becoming the co-founder of ASDES. She aspires to contribute to the field of architecture by her understanding of environment and people’s psychology and make buildings more comfortable to reside and work in.
